Overview

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) is a privacy law enacted by the State of California to strengthen privacy rights and consumer protection for residents of California. The CCPA gives California residents increased transparency and control over the personal information that businesses collect about them, including the right to know what personal information is collected, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.

At Jobma (“we”, “us”, or “our”), we are committed to protecting your personal information. This CCPA statement supplements our Privacy Policy and applies solely to residents of the State of California. It describes our data practices, the rights available to California consumers under the CCPA, and how those rights may be exercised.

Jobma does not sell personal information. All processing is conducted in accordance with applicable legal frameworks, and where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by reaching out to our Data Privacy Officer at privacy@jobma.com .

Your Rights Under CCPA

The California Consumer Privacy Act grants California residents the following rights regarding their personal information:

  • Right to Know: Request to disclose information about personal information being collected. This also includes the right to request disclosure of the categories of sources from which personal information is collected, the business or commercial purposes for collecting or using personal information, the categories of third parties (if any) to whom personal information is disclosed, and the categories of personal information being sold or shared.
  • Right to Deletion: Request the deletion of your collected personal information, unless retention of the information is required under certain statutory exceptions, such as to comply with legal obligations.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: Request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
  • Right to Correct: Request the correction of inaccurate or outdated personal information.
  • Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Personal Information: Request to use your sensitive personal information (such as social security number, precise geolocation data, or genetic data) for limited purposes, such as providing you with the services you requested.

Employers are responsible for following the privacy and data protection laws applicable in the State of California when using the platform, including obtaining any required consent from candidates.

Jobma supports structured interview workflows that allow employers to apply a consistent process across candidates, including standardized, role-specific questions. Employers remain responsible for how interviews are configured, conducted, and evaluated. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance with EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) guidelines.
