Job Description
We are looking for a skilled PHP / Laravel Developer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable web applications using MVC architecture, Laravel, and modern backend technologies. He will work closely with Jobma ATS product and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize high-performance applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel
- Implement clean and scalable code following MVC architecture
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB
- Optimize application performance using tools like Redis and Solr
- Integrate and manage third-party APIs
- Write efficient queries and use ORM (Eloquent) effectively
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams to deliver quality features
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in PHP and Laravel
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture
- Experience with MySQL and MongoDB
- Knowledge of ORM concepts (Eloquent preferred)
- Experience with Redis and Solr for caching and search
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Understanding of Git and version control best practices
Good to Have
- Working knowledge of Python
- Exposure to React.js or modern frontend frameworks
- Experience with performance optimization and scalable systems
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices
